Welcome to Reach

Over £1000 from the people of Gleadless Valley.
Thank You
Local people have so far donated just over £1,000 to Reach via the Coop's Community Fund.
We are pleased to say that Reach has been chosen as one of the Community Fund charities for the second round of funding. This means that every time you buy a Coop branded product from the shop on Constable Road, a small proportion of what you pay will go to support  the ongoing and much needed work at Reach. Have a look at What We Do for more information on Reach activities.

Building Better Opportunities (BBO) comes to south Sheffield

A new and exciting project funded jointly by  the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund has come to south Sheffield. Project staff Emma and Sam will be working with local unemployed people who find themselves furthest from the labour market, supporting those clients to overcome barriers to work as part of a major initiative across South Yorkshire. The project will work alongside Reach's own Work Clubs project which is proving so successful in supporting local people into work

Community Voice

Reach South Sheffield was set up by local people to give a voice to local people. The Reach  offices are open Monday to Friday. Call in to voice your concerns regarding services, report a problem, get information and support or simply have a chat with our friendly staff.

Our Aim
The overall aim of the Reach is to grow the capacity of the local community so that local people are able to overcome barriers to social and economic inclusion.  The activities supported will empower the local community to take the lead in local regeneration themselves.

The key objectives are:

  • To advance education and training
  • To improve the employability of local people
  • To promote good health and well-being in the communities of  south Sheffield communities
  • To be an effective, active developmental organisation
  • To be a sustainable organisation

Please see the What We Do page for more information about all the projects we manage.
