About Building Better Opportunities:

BBO – Sheffield City Region (BBO SCR) is an integrated, person centred employment service for people with physical and mental health conditions, learning disabilities and complex needs. It is based on Individual Placement support, a “place then train” approach that’s shown to be twice as effective as traditional approaches. BBO - SCR aims to bring about system change, resulting in long lasting impacts for the City Region.

It will develop the evidence base for the Individual Placement Support model, expanding it to a new geography and to different customer groups. It integrates employment specialists within a variety of teams in deprived communities with high levels of economic inactivity. It will also raise aspirations about what a co-produced, strengths based approach to employment can achieve for the most disadvantaged.

Purpose of the role:

Working as part of our multi-disciplinary team, delivering high quality assessment and development of customers’ Maths, English and ICT skills. You will support BBO customers to identify how to enhance their Maths, English and ICT skills, in a non-classroom setting.

You will be working with a case load of customers across South Yorkshire to improve their life and employment prospects. The ideal person will be a genuine self-starter with bags of energy, enthusiasm and creativity and with a background and qualification in adult education.

For an informal chat about the role, please call John Chamberlain on 0114 239 4888.
