Employment Support Worker

£19,214 pro-rata

17.5 hours per week over 3 days


The role 

Through organised Work Clubs, engage and recruit eligible Sheffield residents in south and south west Sheffield who are in receipt of an out of work benefit or economically inactive.

To do this you will need a deep understanding of the needs of people who have been unemployed for some time. You will manage a caseload of individuals and provide one to one support with all aspects of their job search. This will include: needs assessment and action planning; CV preparation; job search techniques (including internet); job application; interview preparation and more. You will need the ability to relate well to people from diverse backgrounds and to be empathetic and supportive whilst also being committed to getting results.


Operating predominantly from our Online Centre with outreach at locations across south/south west Sheffield, you will work closely with colleagues to develop relationships with partners such as: support agencies (eg debt counselling), employers and stakeholders to raise awareness of the project and encourage a high level of public engagement. The successful applicant will make a significant contribution to the overall success of Reach South Sheffield.

Health Project Senior Coordinator


Full time (35 hours per week)

Purpose of the role

To work with the Health Project Team to develop and deliver a comprehensive range of initiatives and interventions that improve the health and well-being of the people of South Sheffield. These interventions will be both recreational and focused on bringing about lasting and effective health improvements.

The ideal person will be a genuine self-starter with bags of energy, enthusiasm and creativity and with a background in health or community work.
