Why we need your help

Reach (formerly Gleadless Valley Community Forum) is a registered charity (charity number 1100770). Although we currently receive financial support through contracts and grants, these sources of money are not guaranteed year on year and they simply do not meet all the costs involved in empowering the people and communities we exist to support.

Your donation could help us to:

  • Pay for essential new items, such as computers for service users and staff
  • Run our summer festival, an important annual event for our community
  • Meet important day to day running costs essential for us to operate effectively - eg phone and internet costs, and salaries of staff members essential to making sure our organisation runs smoothly and sustainably

Your donation, large or small, is really important to us.

Play our lottery!

Win up to £25,000 in our weekly draw! For every £1 played, Reach South Sheffield receives 50p to invest in supporting our communities. The remaining 50p goes towards prizes and administration costs.

Your chance to win. Our chance to help you make positive changes.

The weekly draw takes place each Saturday. When you sign up, you will be given a unique, six-digit number, which will remain yours while you are a member. To win a prize, you need to match 3, 4, 5 or 6 numbers in the correct order. If you win a prize, Unity, our lottery partner, will contact you and send you your prize money. The winning numbers are posted on Unity's website each week - learn more at

You need to be aged 16 or over to take part. To play, click here or contact Helen on 0114 265 7093 for an application form. There is a 1 in 63 chance of winning a prize each week. Run in partnership with Unity lottery.

Supporting us in other ways

There are many other ways you can support us to empower people in south Sheffield.

Sponsorship and in-kind support

Are you a business wanting to give something back to your community? We welcome sponsorship from corporate organisations to support our important and valuable work. For example, each year we run a community festival to bring people together. It's a great opportunity to talk to them about how we can support them and a chance for people to relax and enjoy time together.

We rely on financial support to ensure this event happens and to make it a memorable day for everyone. If you are interested in working with us, do get in touch and we can discuss how we can work together to achieve benefits for us both. Working with us could provide your organisation with new, positive PR opportunities, for example.

You can also help us with in-kind support. We really value help with essentials like printing and IT support, for example.

Organise your own fundraising event

Have fun organising your own event in aid of Reach South Sheffield. It could be a sponsored run, swim or walk, or something more social, such as a cake bake. It's up to you, and we can support you - get in touch if you have an idea.
