Older People's Project

Do you know an older person in south Sheffiled who may need some support?  The older people's project helps local older people by:

  • Supporting older people to access the services, resources and facilities they need to maintain their independence and quality of life.
  • Promoting health, diet and exercise to reduce health inequalities.
  • Empowering older people to make choices.
  • Focusing on those who are vulnerable in order to prevent hospital admission and reduce pressure on health services.
  • Working with local groups and organisations to help develop more activities, lunch clubs, day trips and exercise classes.

Dr_Chai_PatelWith thanks to Dr Chai Patel for his generous donation documented in the Channel 4's Secret Millionaire programme.   The money enabled us to buy a new minibus and employ an additional member of staff to increase the support and number of activities we can deliver for older people in the community.
