About the project
Live Better: Get Connected is a financial and social inclusion service provided by Reach South Sheffield in partnership with Age Better in Sheffield. The service is aimed at people aged 50 and over who live in the Beauchief and Greenhill Ward, and their natural neighbourhoods, who find financial issues or health problems are stopping them from getting connected with their local community.
Project Update; 07/08/20
An update from Lewis Bowan regarding the Live Better Get Connected project
As of the 31st of August 2020, we will no longer be accepting new referrals. This is to ensure that all of our service users can get the most from the service and can be guaranteed at least 6 full months of our support and advice, as the project is currently due to end on the 31st March 2021.
Dependent on funding for 2021, we hope that we can continue with Live Better: Get Connected beyond its initial term. Response to the project has been fantastic and we wish to thank all those who have assisted in its continued success through service user referrals.
The next six months for us will be all about making sure that those already receiving our help can continue to be supported, especially as the situation regarding COVID-19 develops and a lot remains uncertain for so many.
While we can no longer accept new referrals for the project, our team would like to reiterate that our lines of communication are always open for informal advice, help and support for those who need it.
All the best,
Lewis and the Live Better: Get Connected team.
